My Dad was in the...Thanks so much for writing this. My Dad was in the Normandy invasion and a nursing home too. He had dementia. In fact, what you wrote made me think I was reading about my own Father. He would say something very similar to don't worry, your Mother and I will be allright. How wonderful to have been taught what is important in life. Dad was the same upstanding Christian man. And, I learned to not look up to wealth or status. I believe too many people seem to have forgotten this. Hence, look at the mess in Washington now.
